During the meeting, Mr. Djuma urged the ‘Bagumyabanga’ to strengthen mutual aid, specifically referring to the concept of 'entraide mutuelle'. He emphasized that every individual has a key role in contributing to the national development goals, noting the importance of collective effort. Mr. Djuma stressed the importance of collective effort in achieving the country's long-term objectives, specifically referring to the National Vision 2040-2060. He reinforced the idea that this vision requires broad participation from all citizens, showing that the success of the National Vision 2040-2060 depends on the active involvement of every Burundian. This full vision, referred to as 'Vision 2040-2060', outlines the strategic direction for Burundi's future development and prosperity, requiring concerted action from all sectors of society.

Mobilizing Party Members

Saïdi Djuma stated that the 'Imbonerakure' youth, a prominent wing of the CNDD-FDD, are expected to act as problem solvers within their communities. He emphasized their responsibility in identifying and addressing local challenges, thereby contributing positively to the national agenda. This role as problem solvers is seen as fundamental to grassroots development and community well-being.

Mr. Djuma also called for the effective establishment of all party committees across every level of the CNDD-FDD structure, beginning with the foundational cells. This directive aims to ensure organizational presence and operational capacity throughout the party's hierarchy, thereby strengthening the party's reach and effectiveness at the local level. The establishment of these committees is key for efficient communication and implementation of party directives.

He urged party members to exhibit strong cohabitation and collaboration with individuals from other political parties and with religious leaders. This call for inter-party and inter-faith cooperation shows a broader message of unity and collective effort in Burundi, promoting a harmonious environment necessary for national progress. He specifically asked the 'Bagumyabanga' to demonstrate good cohabitation and collaboration, fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect and cooperation among all citizens, regardless of their political or religious affiliations. This approach is intended to build bridges and encourage a unified push towards national development.

Youth and Development Roles

Saïdi Djuma, representing the Secretary General of the CNDD-FDD party, characterized the 'Bakenyererarugamba' as essential pillars for the sustainable development of their households and the nation. He stressed the importance of their involvement in children's education, viewing it as key for both family development and long-term survival. He emphasized that their active participation in ensuring children receive proper education is a cornerstone for the future prosperity of families and the country. According to Mr. Djuma, the participation of the 'Bakenyererarugamba' in maintaining peace and security is a mandatory requirement, noting their critical role in social stability.

Mr. Djuma also urged the 'Imbonerakure' youth wing to prepare for potential service in the defense and security forces. He specified a target of at least fifty well-prepared young individuals from the 'Imbonerakure' per zone to be ready for such roles. This call for readiness shows a broader emphasis on youth engagement in national defense and security initiatives, ensuring a strong and prepared national security apparatus. The official's remarks noted a multi-faceted role for party members, particularly women and youth, in contributing to both societal well-being and national stability, from educational development to national defense.

Future Political Engagement

He called upon them to be exemplary in their professional conduct, thereby enhancing public trust and efficiency in service delivery.
